| "Bred to be a winner, A.p. Indy, a son of Seattle Slew - out of Weekend Surprise by Secretariat. Out of his 11 career starts, he had 8 wins and 1 third, earning a total of $2,979,815. He won such prestigious races as the G-I Hollywood Futurity, as a 3 yr. old he won the G-I Belmont, G-I Breeders' Cup Classic, the G-I Santa Anita Derby, the G-II San Rafael, and the G-II Peter Pan. He earned Horse of the Year honors, and Best 3 year old in 1992. I was fortunate enough to see him race, and what a great competitor. As a sire today, he continues to earn the accolades. Stud fee is $300,000, at Lane's End Farm in Ky., and they're getting it! He sired Mineshaft, Horse of the Year in 2003, also one of 2005's leading runners A.P. Adventure. There are too many tributes to name earned by A.p. Indy, one of today's leading sires." |

| "Russell Baze is nothing if not consistent. In 1998 he rode 400 winners for the seventh consecutive year, a feat that no other rider has come close to matching. Through Oct. 21, 2004 he ranked 21st nationally in purses with $6,128,929. Russell hails from a big family of horsemen. His father, Joe, was a jockey before becoming a trainer; his younger brother recently quit riding, and is now exercising horses; a cousin, two second cousins still are riders. There also lots of uncles, and cousins working on gates, shoeing horses, training horses. Born in Canada, Baze is the son of two American citizens, and is American by birth; at the time he was born, his father was riding at Exhibition Park. Baze began riding at Yakima Meadows in 1974. His first winner, Oregon Warrior, was trained by his father. Russell currently ranks fourth on the all-time win list behind Champions as Laffit Pincay Jr., the late Bill Shoemaker, and Pat Day. Russell is fast approaching the 8,500 win mark." |
| "People called him Big Red, or Destroyer. These were among his titles. A destroyer of records. Since his hay days of 1973, we have not seen his equal in smashing records. He's best known for his Triple Crown triumph. But more specifically, his Belmont win. He won that one by 31 lengths. He is the only horse in history to complete the Belmonts 1 1/2 mile by such a wide margin. He broke that track record by knocking 2 3/5 seconds off the old record. To finish in 2.24. This painting captures the likeness of the great Secretariat. I believe the dark background makes the image stand out and almost come to life again as the Champion he once was." |

Hall of Fame Jockey |
"This Painting was done to commemorate Gary
Stevens' induction in the National Racing Hall of
Fame in 1997. All prints are personally
autographed by this World renowned Jockey." |
| "This is a painting I did on commission of one of the most popular sires alive today. He is Bold Badgett. A son of Damascus, His offspring have earned in excess of $6,933,410.00. From 133 of his offspring 101 of them are winners, and from those that have started, 17 of them have gone on to be stakes horses. That's one out of every five. There are few such as Bold Badgett, this champion sire never raced," |
| "I painted this after Favorite Trick went undefeated as a two year old, and became only the second two year old in history to be named "Horse of the Year". The only other horse to date to receive this highly regarded honor,... was Secretariat." |
Horse of the Year 1997 |
![]() | "I did this painting in the Summer of 1999 when I'd learned about the death of Mr. Prospector. He died at the ripe old age of 29 after getting over 40 mares in foal for the year. That is hard to believe. Most studs get pensioned before the age of 25, if they ever live to be that age. But not Mr. Prospector. He was still going strong right up until his death. He was a great racehorse, and has proven himself to be a great sire. The racing industry will miss this great champion. And,...so will I" |
| "This is a piece I painted featuring World Class Jockey, Pat Day aboard Unbridled Time. I captured this duo racing towards the wire, in a way so the painting over-emphasizes the background lighting. The dark bay colt blends into the black background, and the highlights on the horse, the blinkers (also referred to as a hood), and on the jockey really come alive to jolt the viewer. I am happy the way it almost jumps right off of the canvas." |
